The Opportunity:

As a Senior Data Business Analyst, you will be responsible for driving data-driven decision making and strategic insights to support the agriculture supply chain operations of our client. Leveraging your extensive experience in the agriculture domain and expertise in sustainability and compliance initiatives, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, analyze, and interpret complex data sets to uncover opportunities for optimization, cost savings, and improved sustainability.

We are seeking a dedicated Supply chain Sustainability & ESG Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a profound understanding of ESG, EUDR and sustainability factors, particularly within Supply Chain. Understand the risks, opportunities, & consult client on data gaps & data sources.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in compliance requirements for major regulations across the globe relevant to ESG like European Union Deforestation, Extended Producer Responsibility & GHG Emissions Reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand the client business requirements/ problem statements with limited information, come up with comprehensive solution approach with necessary assumptions.
  • Setup & drive discovery sessions with client team to understand ESG & EUDR digitalization project requirements, As is Process, Success criteria, challenges & bottle necks mapping.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data and analytics requirements, and translate them into technical solutions using the Cloudera Hadoop ecosystem
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive strategic decision-making in the agriculture supply chain 
  • Clearly communicate insights and technical approaches to clients verbally and in writing, including documenting analytical methodologies for reports and developing graphs, charts, and other outputs appropriate for use by senior executives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate supply chain sustainability considerations into business strategies and operations.
  • Describe the recording of the source data, including a summary of the person/system that collects and records initial data.
  • Describe the aggregation of the source data, including a summary of how information generated from multiple data sources is aggregated to complete a single KPI metric.
  • Consult clients on calculations performed on the source data, or to estimate data, including a summary of the processes necessary to transform data into a series of inputs utilized within the final KPI metric calculation and inventory.
  • Conceptualise cohesive ESG/EUDR data architecture.
  • Develop systematic rules for collecting and processing EUDR raw data.
  • Support clients in aligning their reporting practices with international and sector-specific frameworks such as EUDR, CDP, and the SDGs.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience as a Business Data Analyst or Senior Data Analyst in the sustainable supply chain, ESG domain
  • B.Tech, or MBA, Good to have a degree in related discipline preferred such as Climate Change, Sustainability, Business, or Environmental Engineering.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
  • Past exposure to CPG, Agro-based Industry or related will be an advantage.
  • Exposure to working on ERP systems viz, SAP ECC, TMS, IBP, etc.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL, SQL and data warehousing concepts
  • Proficient in Python, SQL, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
  • Familiarity with EUDR, EPR, GRI, SASB, and other market standards and guidelines.
  • Experience managing and coaching individuals/teams.
  • Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn in a constantly evolving and fast-paced environment.
  • A genuine team player who can reach objectives individually, as well as through close collaboration and coordination with other team members.
