If this sounds like you, do you want to…

  • Guide the Capital Markets business on all key AI governance considerations to ensure efficient and controlled design and delivery of AI initiatives, to enhance client experience and meet control requirements.

  • Ensure key controls described in relevant AI/ML Standards and Policies are being followed consistently across Capital Markets.

  • Work alongside the business to gain a clear understanding of AI platforms and products.

  • Identify and manage risks by forging partnerships with control colleagues across RBC such as legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators and technology control functions.

  • Anticipate and proactively seek out future challenges to ensure uninterrupted delivery of AI initiatives.

  • Escalate, manage and report control issues succinctly with clarity and transparency.

  • Foster, develop and maintain strong working relationships with senior functional and business management in order to adequately support the business.

  • Create a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications (Legislative Requirement) – MUST HAVE

  • 7+ years of compliance, legal or supervisory experience in a global markets business/setting

  • Solid understanding of financial markets and broad awareness of global regulatory frameworks

  • Understanding large and complex application development projects

  • Familiarity with AI and a strong grasp of emerging technology

  • Fluency with key risk areas such as privacy, third-party, regulatory, resilience etc.

  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to collaborate and manage projects in a complex matrixed organization

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work under pressure, responding to demanding stakeholders with time sensitive deadlines

  • Keen attention to detail and passion for creating impactful and well-designed presentation materials – must have excellent presentation skills

Other Required Qualifications – NICE TO HAVE:

  • Expertise or hands-on experience with AI techniques

  • Product development experience including planning product launches

  • Ability to work with ambiguity and navigate a highly regulated environment

  • Experience leading complex global cross-business projects

  • Project management certifications and strong knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies
