ING Analytics aims, by using data & AI, at differentiating ING as a leader in data-driven organization, within the banking sector and beyond. The team consists of a of delivery tribes focused on bank’s key domains (such as Operations, Retail Banking, Wholesale banking, etc.), local country analytics teams, as well as strong support areas around data management, technology, customer journey, UX, and a an analytics office in charge of strategy, partnerships, portfolio and business development that you will be part of.

Analytics Consultant job purpose

You will be part of ING Analytics Office, that is in charge of helping Tribe Leads and Chief Analytics Officers set and execute the ING Analytics strategy (internally and externally), monitor portfolio & collaborating with tribe leads in showing value & alignment with ING strategic programs, advance strategic partnerships with key industry/academic players, business development as well as daily operations.

Role Profile

As an Analytics Consultant, you report to the Head of Analytics Office. Your responsibilities include:

  • Lead internal and external strategic and analytics projects including scoping, analysis and development of recommendations, including advising and providing consultancy to the CAO on various related topics such as organizational design, country design, governance, data fluency, digi-60 index implementation, strategic partnership such as Kickstart AI.
  • Conduct explorations into different business lines and units for potential analytics opportunities
  • Manage engagement with stakeholders of ING Analytics including existing and potential senior stakeholders in order to drive business development of analytics solutions; support tribes in related project scoping.
  • Actively monitor ING Analytics’ portfolio deliveries and support quarterly review cycle.
  • Support daily operations of the ING Analytics department including (but not limited to) finance, resource planning; prioritize analytics agenda to align with organizational roadmap.
  • Support the creation and translation of the analytics strategy into objectives and roadmaps.
  • Support the implementation of broader data-driven transformation at ING, incl. location strategy, country organization, financial planning, governance

About you

  • Education: Master's degree in business field (business management, computer science, data science, AI etc.)
  • Experience:
  • Solid background in analytics
  • Solid background and experience in (analytics) project management
  • Proven track record in achieving business impact within a global corporate context, Experience in a matrix set up is a strong plus
  • Previous consulting experience
  • Affinity with IT
  • Competencies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills displaying cultural sensitivity in coordinating interactions with and between the different business units
  • Ability to translate future vision into a set of clear deliverables and communicate across levels
  • Ability to engage, advise and present with stakeholders, including senior ones, in analytics related matter
  • Content-wise can deal with high degree of ambiguity that comes with the exploration request
  • Can do/go-getter mentality – go out of your own responsibilities and comfort zone to achieve the team target
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Power Point
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
