Job Description

The Senior Analyst, Data Science supports the Customer analytics team of one the largest Office Supplies organizations in the US. You will work with senior leadership to analyze customer trends, evaluate current initiatives, design/improve customer-centric strategies and consult on driving business indicators and customer experience better for the client. We ask that you have domain understanding (B2B business model, retail/e-commerce space, customer analytics), technical acumen, and strategy consulting experience to achieve success. You will report to the Senior Manager, Analytics. This is a hybrid role with ~50% onsite requirements in Chicago.

Responsibilities:

  • You will work with clients to discuss and understand their needs, support them in achieving growth/excellence through analytical/consulting solutions and data-driven insights 
  • You will use structured techniques and frameworks to identify and scope the business use case.
  • You will ideate and provide solutions to ensure business-aligned outcomes through collaborative iterations and feedback 
  • You will synthesize data findings to generate insights, develop strategic presentations and consult on achieving success metrics 
  • You will work with a global team (India based) and help coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to guide progress on workstreams  
  • You will Manage end-to-end communication and collaboration with multiple partners, global teams, across departments in our client's organization 

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in complex querying, joining, and manipulating raw datasets for analysis using SQL
  • 3+ years experience building compelling self-serve analytics tools
  • Good understanding of analytical techniques (regression, forecasting, segmentation, etc.) and practical applications of such models (eg. Personalization) 
  • Experience in PowerBI and Python within retail/e-commerce, B2B business model

Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $68,000 - $110,400. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
