As a VP of Engineering, you will be in charge of setting up the technical, operational and people strategy and roadmap for our Engineering functions, making sure the team is able to deliver on our growth and engagement strategic goals. The main responsibility in this position will be to coordinate and provide the roadmap for all engineering processes across Data Engineering, Machine Learning, and Analytics.
This role requires a visionary leader with a strong background in data-driven technologies, exceptional leadership skills, and a track record of managing diverse technical teams to deliver impactful solutions.
What you will be doing:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the ML, data engineering, and data analytics teams.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive engineering strategy aligned with company goals.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to define and prioritize technical initiatives.
- Manage and mentor team leads, ensuring the development of skills and career progression within the teams.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements, integrating relevant technologies and methodologies into the teams’ work.
- Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within the engineering teams.
- Oversee budget management, resource allocation, and project timelines to ensure successful delivery of initiatives.
What you bring:
- Strong background in the complete data lifecycle: Analytics, Data Science, and Data Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in the data field or related fields.
- At least 5+ years of experience in an engineering/analytics leadership role. Ideally at a professional services company.
- Demonstrated ability to define business KPIs and establish measurement frameworks.
- Problem-solving skills are essential. Must be able to think outside the box to implement creative solutions that solve business problems.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
