Compensation package: €70,000 - €75,000 in yearly salary, €20,000 - €40,000 in equity, and up to €5,000 per year in company benefits

As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Hardware Integration, you'll develop cutting-edge software focusing on the seamless integration of top-tier industrial hardware, including MRI systems and automation peripherals.
In our fast-paced environment, your technical leadership ensures the highest standards of code quality, and by leveraging the latest software trends, you'll implement best practices and drive the development of scalable, robust, and AI-powered imaging solutions.
This role allows you to unlock the potential of MRI technology, transforming it from traditional clinical settings into fully automated industrial applications.
Your responsibilities include:
Develop and optimize software for edge devices, ensuring seamless integration with MRI systems and automation hardware.
Maintain consistent and reliable communication with MRI devices and automation systems, using technologies such as WebSockets, TCP, OPC-UA, Modbus, PLCs, and industrial PCs.
Design scalable software solutions, maintain Python code, develop automated tests, and manage CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate with hardware suppliers and define APIs to guarantee device compatibility, optimize interfaces, and enhance hardware-software interactions.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance within the team, and stay updated on new hardware technologies to continually advance system performance and capabilities.
Conduct thorough testing to ensure integration success and troubleshoot any emerging issues.

Ability to work with significant autonomy, owning projects without extensive supervision and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers and software developers.
Proficient in Python backend development with substantial experience in managing version control systems like Git and Linux scripting.
Experienced in developing and maintaining scalable software and managing CI/CD pipelines.
Demonstrated ability to integrate with external hardware devices using industry-standard communication protocols.
Skilled in designing robust architecture using domain-driven design principles and applying best practices in software development.
Strong track record of deploying and maintaining software in production environments and providing technical leadership and mentorship.
Familiar with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) technologies, enhancing system efficiency and reliability.

Previous experience in a similar role, particularly in environments where software meets complex hardware.
Expertise in integrating with external hardware devices, via OPC-UA and Industrial PCs (IPCs).
Experience working with MRI systems and medical imaging technologies.
Interest or experience in the latest IoT technologies and industrial automation solutions.
