Job Description

We are looking for a creative, entrepreneurial, and intellectually curious Software Engineer with strong Machine Learning and Data Science skills to join CGG’s Business Incubator.

Reporting to the Development Project Leader, you provide support to the development of the various project teams within the Incubator, adapting your knowledge to new fields and learning new technologies. You will also contribute to set up the MLOps framework common to all developments.

You will have the possibility to propose new ideas and to be involved in the business side of the new initiatives.

Principle Accountabilities: 

As a Data & ML oriented software engineer, you will contribute to the development for different projects, on different aspects:

  • Support the full ML & Data pipeline development for specific project, from data collection phase to the production phase.
  • Collaborating with HPC team, help managing dedicated cloud infrastructure for your team.
  • Propose solution and provide support for data management, software development, DevOps for various projects
  • Contribute to the development of a general MLOps framework development which will be used in all ML related development.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • MSc in Computer Science or Software Engineering

Key skills & competencies:

  • Expertise in Python with a good understanding of data structures, software architecture, design pattern, testing
  • Proficiency with Machine Learning frameworks (Pytorch/Tensorflow): developing & evaluating machine learning models.
  • Experience with the Python data processing stack: Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, etc.
  • Experience with DevOps (Git, GitLab CD/CI, docker) and Cloud environment (Linux).
  • Knowledge on relational databases (Postgres, MySql…)
  • Basic understanding of different ML models (included but not limited to CNN-based, Transformers-based, generative models…)
  • Knowledge of MLOps is a big plus.
  • Entrepreneurship spirit, team-oriented and agile.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Fluent in English.
