Job Description

We're looking for an engineer, preferably with 4-5 years of overall experience with at least 2+ years of relevant experience in developing, deploying, monitoring and  AI based solution, You will be working to develop new services for improving Product data quality & Enrichment of Product data. This will involve approaches like using Gen AI & ML for creating these solutions. You will be involved in developing and improving  ML algo's and also taking it to production by orchestrating the MLOps system and microservice based on Java and python"

Product Intelligence is part of commercial domain of Tesco.  We help our customers and the communities where we operate get the most value from data. We look after Product data and associated entities and try to continuously enrich it. We have an opportunity to make difference in our our customers shop at Tesco . Product data plays crucial role across entire retail domain and enhancing it, creating new offering on top of it unlocks lot of Business values.

Qualifications

  • Strong Software Engineering skills, with experience of different programming languages and a good grasp of at least one language, ideally Python
  • A background or strong understanding of the retail sector, logistics and/or ecommerce would be advantageous but is not required.
  • Awareness of emerging MLOps practices and tooling
  • Model perfromance measurement and Fine tuning 
  • Demonstratable experience of building scalable and resilient systems.
  • Experience building solutions that run in the cloud, ideally Azure.
  • Should have extensive hands-on experience in:
    - custom AI model development (including selection of appropriate pretrained models if any, hyperparameter optimisation and fine-tuning) 
    - evaluation of models using the relevant metrics - should be able to justify choice of metrics over others depending on the usecases
    - MLOps for deploying, maintaining & monitoring
     - continuous improvement of models based on feedback loops

Hybrid working

Currently, at Tesco Technology we work in a hybrid model. We love working from home, but we also love connecting, collaborating and innovating with our colleagues in person. We meet in our office in Kraków for 3 days a week.
