The School of Biological Sciences (SBS), part of the College of Science, was established in 2002 with a mission to advance biological and biomedical sciences. At SBS, our research spans various areas, including infectious diseases, immunology, neurodegenerative diseases, telomere biology, and genome function. Over the years, SBS has attracted talented individuals from around the world and Singapore to join as scientific leaders and researchers.
We are seeking a Senior Research Scientist to contribute to a project focused on “Predicting DNA-Protein Binding to Enhance Bacteria-Based Cancer Therapy Safety and Efficacy”.
Key Responsibilities
Design AI models for predicting DNA-protein interactions
Lead research projects
Mentor PhD students in coding, critical thinking, and scientific development
Job Requirements
A PhD in computer engineering or related areas, with a focus on software development (Master’s degree with substantial working experience will be considered)
10+ years of work experience as a software engineer
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English - essential for data analysis and communication with stakeholders
Experience in AI and microbial sequence analysis
Strong background in microbiology
Efficient communication skills
Patient, curious, and stringent
