The Royal Caribbean Group’s Machine Learning Engineering team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Senior Machine Learning Platform Engineer reporting to the Manager of Machine Learning Engineering.
This position will work on-site in Miramar Florida.
Position Summary
The ML Engineering team at Royal Caribbean Group is responsible for architecting and supporting the productionalized solution around AI/ML models to integrate predictions seamlessly into the business processes, ensuring resiliency, explainability, reproducibility, and scalability of the models and code. We are looking for a highly capable ML Platform Engineer or MLOps Engineer with a strong Software Engineering and DevOps background. As a Senior ML Engineer, you will (1) be supporting many small to medium sized AI/ML projects partnering closely with data scientists, data engineers, and business stakeholders on the projects as needed; and (2) have centralized responsibilities to create broader AI capabilities for the Data Science team including GenAI.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Build and maintain reusable codebases by enhancing existing python packages and create new ones.
Drive new AI capabilities for the alphaPlatform including: GenAI, OpenAI, DBRX, Mosaic ML and others.
Create standards and drive the Center of Excellence to govern the use of GenAI tech stack.
Automate production deployments incorporating MLOps best practices.
Develop alerting tool frameworks for monitoring production model performance and effectiveness.
Maintain and enhance the internal Azure OpenAI website used across the company.
Maintain an internal-facing static website for the AI organization.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or similar combination of training and experience.
5+ years of overall experience in Data Analytics.
3+ years of experience with ML Engineering and/or ML Ops.
1+ years of experience building or maintaining websites.
Experience building scalable machine learning systems and data-driven products working with cross-functional teams.
Well-developed software engineering fundamentals, including use of proper development, QA, and production environments, and the ability to write production-level code.
Experience creating python packages
Proficiency in Python and experience with common data analytics packages (e.g. Numpy, Pandas, Sklearn, PySpark).
Proficiency in Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and MLFlow.
Proficiency in SQL.
Basic proficiency of ReactJS and NodeJS or ability to learn quickly.
Experience serving containerized solutions in the cloud.
Good communication skills and the ability to understand and synthesize requirements across multiple project domains.
Works effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in computer science, data science, mathematics, or a related field.
7+ years of overall experience in Data Analytics.
Experience with Agile Software Development.
Experience in a large corporation or consulting firm
