Job Description

As a Merkle Senior ML Engineer:

  • You will design and develop innovative, cloud-based solutions involving interconnected machine learning (ML) inference and training systems.
  • You will write robust, production-quality code that contributes to the advancement of engineering solutions at Merkle.
  • You will solve intricate engineering problems to enable a team of data scientists to deliver high-quality, production-ready applications.
  • You will automate CI/CD pipelines using modern DevOps tools and frameworks.
  • You will collaborate closely with a diverse team of 10+ data scientists and engineers across various organizational boundaries.
  • You will spearhead the creation of scalable AI innovations in collaboration with foundation and infrastructure partners.
  • You will report to VP, Analytics and this position is remote

Qualifications

  • You will possess a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • You will have 5+ years of industry experience in software design, development, and algorithmic solutions.
  • You will have proficiency (5+ years) in programming with Python, with additional experience in languages such as Java, C/C++ preferred.
  • You will have a strong understanding of RESTful APIs and API design principles.
  • You will have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • You will have strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • You will work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • You will have 7+ years of relevant experience in building distributed internet-scale systems and machine learning infrastructure.
  • You will have a Master's degree in computer science or a related technical discipline.
  • You will have experience with modern LLM agent frameworks, such as LangChain.
  • You will have a working knowledge in one or more of the following areas: machine learning (ML), data mining, information retrieval, search, or statistics.
  • You will have the ability to diagnose technical issues, debug code, and automate routine tasks.

Additional Information

The anticipated salary range for this position is $94,000-$152,375. Salary is based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
