Job Description

We firmly believe that AI is the pillar of the new generation. Our consultants' business expertise and our Data Scientists' and AI products allow us to support our customers in meeting their business challenges across the data universe. As we expand our team in Perth, we seek experienced Data Consultants whose role will be crucial to our continued growth and success.  

We are looking forward to meeting consultants with the following experience: 

  • Functional requirements gathering, data design, data modelling, and development, enhance the management and value of data across organisations and markets.  
  • Technical delivery of scalable, efficient, and best-practice data pipelines, transformations, and ETLs using Azure or similar tools. 
  • Data visualisation skills in translating business requirements and metrics into visual reports, dashboards and analytics that provide insight and value to business functions. 
  • Machine learning, AI, and statistics, including developing predictive models of decision-making, supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms, econometrics, forecasting, and quantitative diagnosis. 
  • Understanding key data governance and management concepts, including data quality, master data management, metadata management and data lineage. 
  • Experience with agile and traditional delivery in a data and analytics development environment, participating in scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and retrospectives. 
  • Development and delivery experience within a consulting environment, maintaining client expectations and ethics. 

Desired technical skills: 

  • Strong SQL skills to support data pipeline and data modelling. 
  • Azure, Snowflake, AWS or Oracle data warehousing technologies. 
  • Data transformation tooling, including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Fivetran, Matilion, Oracle Data Integration, AWS Glue, AWS Data Pipeline, or similar. 
  • Azure services, including Synapse, Data Lake, Databricks and Fabric 
  • Analytics tooling, including Power BI, Tableau, Quick Sight, Oracle Analytics Cloud or similar. 
  • DevOps and CI/CD to support deployment automation, Azure preferred. 
  • Programming skills in Python or similar. 
  • JIRA / Confluence or similar agile tooling experience.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess: 

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced qualifications are advantageous. 
  • Prior experience in professional services, preferably within a Big 4 environment or with another leading consulting firm. Essential experience in data and AI delivery. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, functionally, and cross-functionally with large client and vendor teams to deliver quality and comprehensive solutions. 
  • Strong relationship management skills, building networks and influencing stakeholders effectively. 
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and problem-solving. 
  • Advanced proficiency with the MS Office suite.
