THESE DAYS, AUTOMOTIVE HISTORY IS WRITTEN IN CODE.
SHARE YOUR PASSION.
Revolutionising the future of mobility means setting standards today. Our vehicles already use intelligent technologies that are increasingly taking over driving tasks and providing greater safety and comfort. Increasing our lead in autonomous driving requires visionary thinkers and creative developers. Specialists in the fields of machine learning, artificial intelligence, sensor technology and software development will work in expert teams in centres of excellence networked around the world to redefine the limits of what is possible.
What awaits you?
- Join our perception team to industrialize sophisticated low level perception algorithms for our next generation of advanced driver assistance systems.
- At the BMW autonomous driving campus, we are continuously developing cutting-edge functions for our self-driving car technology.
- You use your expertise to participate actively in all development phases from prototyping, up to the implementation, testing and deployment of deep learning models on state-of-the-art embedded hardware.
- In your daily work, you will find yourself in an international and interdisciplinary environment with an agile mindset.
- Our campus offers the infrastructure you need to work productively with integration and testing of our development vehicles and focus on the software for the automobile of the future.
What you should bring along?
- University degree (master or PhD) in computer science or a related subject.
- Expert level, more than 6 years of industrial experience in software development using C++ and Python.
- Expert knowledge in developing highly efficient software on resource constrained hardware architectures.
- Expert knowledge of concepts and practical experience in software engineering, and design patterns, as well as clean code and documentation.
- In-depth knowledge of machine learning techniques and frameworks, with a focus on deep neural networks and supervised learning applied to computer vision functions is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge with deployment of deep learning models on hardware including quantization techniques is a plus
- Industrial experience in sensor data processing (Radar, LiDAR, Camera, IMU), computer vision, sensor-calibration and -fusion.
- Experience in Build tools and CI systems (e.g. Bazel, Zuul, Jenkins).
