The Developer Software Engineering (DSE) organization is looking for a software development engineer to work on oneDNN project (https://github.com/oneapi-src/oneDNN).
oneDNN is a complex cross-platform open source software project focusing on neural networks performance. oneDNN is a critical and highly visible component of Intel AI strategy powering key AI applications including OpenVINO, Tensorflow, Pytorch, ONNX Runtime, and more.
In this role you will be responsible for development of new features and algorithms optimized for Intel processors, Intel Processor Graphics, and Intel discrete GPUs, performance optimizations for current and future Intel hardware, including assembly level programming and development of hardware specific parallel algorithms.

To be a successful candidate on this position you should possess following skills and experience:
Minimum requirements:
MSc or PhD in a relevant field (Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science)
5+ years experience in the following areas:
Software libraries design and architecture
Performance engineering and software performance optimizations
Mathematics, preferably linear algebra solvers, matrix-vector operations, and Fast Fourier Transforms
Algorithms and data structures
C and C++
Software development on Linux
Low level optimizations for Intel Architecture processors, OpenCL, SYCL/DPC++, C for Metal or CUDA
Parallel programming (OpenMP, TBB, or MPI)
Preferred qualifications:
3 years+ High performance computing (HPC) applications development
1 year+ Machine learning and deep learning algorithms
1 year+ Agile software development environment
1 year+ Intel development tools
Work Model for this Role
This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
