We are looking for a Machine Learning Scientist to join the Fraud and Policy Abuse detection team. In this role, you will be responsible for building fraud detection models leveraging state of the art methods including deep learning and graph models. You will work closely with other scientists, as well as members of our Product and Engineering teams, to apply your engineering and machine learning skills to solve some of our most impactful and intellectually challenging problems at Wayfair.

What you’ll do:

• Design, build, deploy and refine large-scale machine learning models and algorithmic decision-making systems that solve real-world problems for customers 
• Work cross-functionally with commercial stakeholders to understand business problems or opportunities and develop appropriately scoped analytical solutions
• Be obsessed with the customer and maintain a customer-centric lens in how we frame, approach, and ultimately solve every problem we work on

What you’ll bring to the table:

• Ph.D. (typically in quantitative fields but also strong candidates with non-STEM backgrounds), Master’s with 2 years of relevant experience or Bachelor’s with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Highly collaborative, team player and great communicator
• Intense intellectual curiosity with a strong desire to always be learning
