Role Description
As a Machine Learning Research Engineer at Advex, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's technical direction. Your hands-on involvement will include working with our CTO to (1) spearhead diffusion research to solve OOD generalization problem and (2) build our product and engage directly with our customers. As we expand, you will contribute heavily to the architectural roadmap, laying the foundation for the Advex platform. Your technical leadership will be instrumental in supporting and growing our engineering and product teams.
We are seeking an individual who is strategic, capable of transforming product specifications and front-end components into an enterprise-ready application. We value self-starters who aren't afraid to dive into the details and iterate on prototypes in the early stages of development.
About You
2 to 5 years of research experience in Computer Vision and Deep Learning
PhD or extensive research with relevant publications on:
Diffusion research – controllability, latent diffusion models, unconditional image generation
Representation learning techniques such as BYOL and MAE
PyTorch and Python experience
Ability to make critical decisions with very little information
Proven track record of rapidly delivering complex projects within tight timeframes
(Bonus) Prior experience working at a startup
Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to lead in-depth discussions with clarity and conciseness.
Proficiency in reading academic papers and implementing innovative ideas promptly. You excel at identifying bottlenecks and gaps within research papers and swiftly translating them into code solutions.
Publications at top conferences like NeurIPS and ICLR
