Your role in the team

The AI/Data Acceleration team pioneers’ transformative innovations by harnessing AI to tackle Allstate's most complex challenges with an interdisciplinary, forward-thinking approach. As Tech Lead within the AI/Data Accelerator team you will:

  • Work in a highly talented diverse team.
  • Be encouraged to continuously learn new skills, technologies, and tools.
  • Identify areas for innovation and have the freedom to explore and test out your ideas in PoCs.
  • Play a critical role in the design, development, and deployment of intelligent automation tools.

You’ll be closely working with a Managing Engineer and Platform Consultants to create ML experiments, PoC’s and work with engineering teams to move high impact projects to production.

An ideal Machine Learning Engineer candidate should demonstrate:

  • Inquisitive nature, with a deep understanding of both technical and business aspects
  • Data-driven decision maker, combining robust analytical thinking with sound business judgment
  • Excellent communicator with both technical and non-technical team members
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and ability to apply them in developing and implementing AI/ML solutions
  • Comfortable with hands-on involvement in AI/ML experimentation and model development

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Participate in AI/ML projects, demonstrating technical expertise and a hands-on approach in AI/ML experimentation
  • Engage in hands-on coding, model development, and AI/ML experimentations
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, other AI/ML teams, and various Allstate Businesses to implement the AI/ML strategy

So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working on  ML/AI projects

We also have some desirable criteria

  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile development
  • Experience with GenAI technologies and techniques e.g. RAG , fine tuning, vector stores etc.
  • Experience working with cloud technologies azure/aws
