We currently have a vacancy for an agile and highly motivated IT Consultant with specialization in the artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language processing (NLP) fields. The candidate will work in the premises of the company in Athens and/or remotely. The successful candidate will join a highly professional team that uses state-of-the-art technologies to implement challenging IT software projects, for major international public organizations. The candidate will receive adequate training and support to develop their career expectations.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Participate in requirements elicitation meetings and contribute in brainstorming sessions;
  • Analyse and prepare project documentation (meeting presentations/minutes, business requirements, reports, etc.);
  • Elaborate functional/non-functional specifications;
  • Analyse data originating from various data sources, in order to drive optimization and improvement of product development and business strategies;
  • Identify candidate models and algorithms matching the business problems;
  • Develop prototypes of AI and NPL processes and tools;
  • Contribute to the full development lifecycle, through requirements gathering, analysis, design, implementation, testing, documentation and maintenance of system components;
  • Operate in a multinational environment, adhering to highly professional standards and methods;
  • Ensure the delivery of quality products.

Requirements

  • University degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related fields;
  • 3+ years of working or related research experience (evidenced by MSc, PhD or relevant publications, awards, or completed project credentials), preferably in a commercial/industrial context;
  • Experience with text analytics and natural language processing methods and tools (deep learning experience will form an asset);
  • Development experience using statistical computer languages (Python, R, etc.), including programming skills in building and deploying machine learning models;
  • Experience with Big Data technologies, such as Spark (and PySpark);
  • Experience with SQL and exposure in ETL development;
  • Good understanding of a variety of AI and machine learning techniques and their real-world advantages/drawbacks;
  • Good understanding of data modeling and evaluation;
  • Strong analytical capabilities, team and quality-oriented, keen to learn and excel;
  • Familiarity with Software Engineering principles;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
