Education required: You are regularly enrolled in a Bachelor/Master in: Computer Sciences, Machine learning, Data Science, Life Sciences, or similar field in an educational establishment located in Europe.
Language requirement: You are fluent in English, French is optional
Expected start date: Between now and September 2024
Duration: Minimum 3 months in full time
Work arrangements: Hybrid (2 or 3 days/week on site)
Requisite: The internship must be mandatory & done in the framework of the curriculum, for which an agreement must be signed between GSK, the student and the Educational Establishment.
Remuneration: according to Belgian legal requirements, the internship will not be paid. However, some expenses will be reimbursed.

What will you do? Where does the role fit?
You will work within an international vaccines AI/ML team
You will work on an independent research project with support provided by your supervisor
You will be involved in building, optimizing, and validating state-of-the-art nuclide acid sequence models
You will use deep learning frameworks such as pytorch
You will work with large biological datasets
You will have a chance to present your results internally to a group of data scientists and bioinformaticians
What are we looking for?
A lively interest in R&D and biopharma industry
Willingness to learn and curiosity for out-of-the-box solutions
Appetite to work and to implement the innovative machine learning approaches
Proficient with programming languages: Python
Analytical and logical thinking with good organization skill
Open and proactive personality to work within an international team and a global company
