Position SummaryThe Graduate Engineer will join the CAI Australia team and gain exposure in a wide variety of landmark data centre projects in Melbourne. As a graduate, you will work under the guidance of our highly experienced team of engineers to gain essential on-the-job skills, developing your knowledge and experience in challenging environments. As well as on-the-job training, you will be enrolled into the CAI internal training programme enhancing your technical and leadership skills. Responsibilities· Primarily responsible for supporting the commissioning process of data center facilities to ensure that all systems, components, and equipment operate efficiently and meet design specifications.· Understanding commissioning requirements for Electrical, Mechanical, and other critical equipment.· Conducting pre-commissioning site inspections and witnessing commissioning tests.· Provide technical expertise by completing ‘commissionability’ studies and undertaking detailed design reviews.· Developing communication and presentation skills through client engagement.· Developing skills in cost proposals and pricing complex projects.· Enhance project management and leadership skills by taking ownership of small projects. · Complete internal training throughout the course of the graduate programme. Critical Skills and Knowledge· Degree in Engineering / Mechanical / Electrical / Building Services or equivalent;· Knowledge and understanding of Australia regulatory requirements;· Efficient on Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Projects. · Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate well with senior management, clients and relevant authorities and build rapport and relationships;· Energetic and self-motivated;· To always work diligently and professionally;· Always ready to work flexible hours as determined by the project demands;· Able to focus on desired outcomes and make decisive decisions when change is required;· The ability to multi-task and work within a motivated and busy team;· Ability to motivate, improve, and gain trust from other team members;· Candidates must have a passport or the ability to immediately get a passport;
