About us

We are a newly funded stealth company with a vision to transform the creaking world of B2B payments. 

Online payments might seem slick to the consumer. But when businesses pay each other, tens of trillions of dollars are exchanged every year through a messy web of people manually chasing and reconciling invoices, cheques and bank transfers. Our solution is an AI accounts receivable assistant that makes getting paid faster, cheaper and easier.

Founded by the former Chief Product Officer of a fintech unicorn, we’re building a small but mighty team of 5-6 to find product-market fit together.

Your role

As our founding engineering leader, you’ll build the first version of a compelling product, and hire your team to the next stage, in a fully financed startup that is ready to go. 

Responsibilities include:

• Acting as technical leader to define the tech vision, stack and architecture
• Hiring the rest of the initial product engineering team alongside the founder-CEO
• Working hands-on with the founder and team, as they join, to build the initial product
• Establishing the culture and practices for a high-performance engineering team
• Partnering with the founder-CEO on company management and strategy

Requirements

• Hands-on, technically strong leader who is happy writing code as well as leading others
• Experience in a startup/scaleup environment
• Experience in “zero to one” new product development (at any size of company)
• Pragmatic, product engineering mindset with a focus on building delightful products that customers love

Bonus points for

• Experience building ML-powered products or with data engineering
• Experience building products/features using LLMs
• Proven ability to manage multiple high-performance engineering teams 
• Experience as a founder
• Experience as the overall, company-wide leader of engineering
