Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience in developing and sustaining semiconductor fabrication processes in a cleanroom environment.
  • Experience in one or more conventional wafer fabrication areas such as lithography, deposition, etch, photoresist strip, singulation, and metrology.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience working in semiconductor research and development or production environments with an emphasis on lithography.
  • Experience with contact, stepper, direct write, or e-beam lithography, spin coat/develop, spray coat, SEM, AFM, confocal microscopy, profilometry, ellipsometry, interferometry, CAD and tool procurement.
  • Experience with statistical process control, manufacturing execution system, change control, statement of purpose writing.
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as JMP, Python, or SQL.
  • Ability to present facts clearly and concisely to staff members at all levels.

In this role you will be developing and sustaining advanced lithography processes in a semiconductor clean room environment. You will be responsible in developing novel fabrication techniques, continuous improvement and sustaining of existing processes, creating proper documentation, effectively summarizing and communicating results, and training others on the proper use of process equipment. You will also collaborate effectively with teammates.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Responsibilities

  • Fabricate Google’s next generation quantum devices.
  • Develop and sustain semiconductor microfabrication processes with a focus on lithography. Be responsible in areas such as thin film deposition, etch, thermal, wet chemistry, singulation, metrology, or packaging by utilizing and maintaining the correspondent equipment.
  • Provide on demand fabrication and equipment  troubleshooting and process stability.
  • Implement procedures and create clear documentation for new processes as they are released to production.
  • Train technicians and operators on production tool set.
