Super Micro Computer, Inc. is currently seeking a highly experienced Director, Solution Engineering - AI to join the Technology Enablement team. We are looking for a proven technology leader to help us create new hardware accelerated AI solutions to support the rapid growing AI market and expand into new areas and to streamline existing partnerships and help build world-class AI solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the hardware acceleration market and high-performance computing server segment with strong know-how in the use cases of hardware accelerated applications for AI/ML, Deep Learning in the enterprise, telecom, edge, and cloud computing markets.
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Develop and manage complex hardware computing solutions based on Supermicro server hardware and 3rd party AI accelerators to deliver innovative systems and solutions that have the potential to impact the AI technology landscape
• Manage technical relationship with hardware partners
• Become a thought leader on Supermicro AI computing solutions
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Management, and Operation teams to provide and support optimized hardware accelerated AI computing solutions
• Supervising, guidance of customer projects and delivery together with Sales and Operation teams
• Highly technical problem solver that has a strong understanding of server hardware, firmware, drivers, OS, and Applications
• Lead research and analysis of AI technologies, customer, and competitor trends to develop AI platform portfolio strategy and roadmap
• Provide AI solutions and products overview training to internal organizations, partners, and customers
• Create AI solution marketing programs and collaterals with marketing team
• Some travel required
• Bachelor's degree in a related field such as computer science, electrical engineering, or information technology
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in accelerated computing and working with other hardware accelerators such as DSPs & FPGAs and usage of hardware accelerators to speed up Computing, AI/ML, Deep Learning and other workloads
• In-depth knowledge of server hardware, software, and networking components
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and manage resources effectively
• Communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and resolve technical issues

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
