Developer Success Engineer - Unreal Engine

At modl.ai, we are on a mission to make artificial intelligence and machine learning accessible for creators. Our AI engine enables game developers to use game-playing bots to test and evaluate game content during development and to create player-facing bots that simulate human play styles.


The Role

We are seeking a Developer Success Engineer adept at identifying customer pain points, integrating solutions, and presenting modl.ai’s value and benefits while addressing any technical objections and evaluating project suitability based on the available resources. You will be responsible for implementing and presenting tech demos and partnering directly with game studios, becoming their trusted technical expert at modl.ai, engaging with them during the sales process, and as ongoing support for their onboarding to our platform.

You should have a strong desire to utilize your technical and sales skills to understand our customer’s game projects and how best to utilize our AI tools to accelerate their development. You should also be able to work cross-functionally with our Sales, Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams to inform ongoing product development, getting the opportunity to impact the business by co-creating technical documentation as well as sales proposals.

  • Provide high-level technical support during pre-sales qualification and post-sales onboarding of new customers.
  • Maximize the value of modl.ai to key accounts by connecting game studio needs with modl.ai capabilities.
  • Collect detailed customer feedback for our product team at all stages of the sales funnel.
  • Build an ongoing technical relationship with modl.ai’s platform customers to improve their usage and experience of our platform.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership on key initiatives and deals.
  • Collaborate with customer studios to understand the configuration and usage of our tools in their game projects.
  • Keep abreast of the industry technologies to ensure you are a trusted resource to prospects and customers.

What You Bring to the Team

  • Game development experience with the Unreal game engine.
  • Strong C++ understanding and experience.
  • Intimate knowledge and strong connections in the game development community.
  • Strong formal communication skills (English) with a focus on customer experience and relationship building.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with internal and external partners.
  • Strong motivation to drive value for prospects & customers and provide an exceptional customer experience.
  • Experience performing demos in front of both technical and business-focused prospects.
  • Flexible work hours are required to collaborate with our Copenhagen headquarters as well as to service our overseas customers.

What Gives You Extra Points

  • Engineering experience with Machine Learning.
  • Engineering experience with Video Game development either at Publisher or 3rd Party Vendor levels.
  • You have established business relationships with partners within the gaming industry.
  • Experience in sales or business development capacity working with the game developer community.
  • Experience in complex technical sales and/or AI product sales.
