To achieve this, we are seeking for Data & AI Technical Consultant to join our Transformation Realized™ Consulting practice to support our clients in defining and rolling out the right data architecture, data platforms and infrastructure that support their needs, implement, and maintain automated data pipelines, and infuse data through business intelligence and analytics. Our team is part of EY’s Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe & Central Asia (CESA) cluster, delivering market leading services to organizations across industries in Cyprus and internationally.

Key Responsibilities 

  • You will lead/support our customers on a project basis in topics such as data strategy, data architecture, data analysis, data visualization, process automation, data governance, data science and AI. 

  • You will analyse, capture, and document requirements for data, AI, and automation use cases in close coordination with stakeholders. Ensure clear and precise definition of requirements to meet customer needs.  

  • You will be responsible of designing, building, and maintaining data and AI pipelines in production. 

  • You will design and build scalable solutions that unify, enrich, and derive insights from varied data sources across a broad technology landscape.  

  • You will evaluate and implement solutions for data infrastructure, including data stores, data warehouses and database systems. 

  • You will help our clients navigate the complex world of modern data science, analytics, and software engineering.   

  • You will provide guidance and perform technical development tasks to ensure data science solutions are properly engineered and maintained to support the ongoing business needs of our clients. 

  • You will be joining a dynamic and interdisciplinary team of scientists and engineers who love to tackle the most challenging problems for our clients.  

  • You will think creatively, build applications efficiently, and collaborate in both the ideation of solutions and the pursuit of new opportunities.  

Skills and Attributes for Success 

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or any other relevant subject from a reputable University. 

  • Up-to 6 years of full-time working experience in Data and/or AI and/or Machine Learning or a similar role. 

  • Strong skills in Python and/or R, and SQL. 

  • Experience working with popular ML packages such as scikit-learn, Pytorch, TensorFlow, or related ML libraries. 

  • A solid understanding of Machine Learning (ML) workflows including ingesting, analysing, transforming data and evaluating results to make meaningful predictions. 

  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining ML models, frameworks, and pipelines in a production environment – on-prem or cloud. 

  • Good understanding of the different data architecture patterns (e.g., Data Lake, Data Mesh, Data Warehouse, Data Lakehouse) 

  • Solid understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and data integration techniques, including experience of implementing the above concepts. 

  • Experience with data visualization and BI tools such as PowerBI and/or Tableau. 

  • Ability to work with a wide variety of data types (i.e. structured and unstructured), extracting and integrating data from modern and legacy data platforms 

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. 

  • Clearly communicating findings, recommendations, and opportunities to improve data/AI systems and solutions. 

  • Strong mathematical and quantitative skills including calculus, linear algebra, and statistics. 

It will be a plus if you have 

  • A deep understanding of and ability to teach concepts, tools, features, functions, and benefits of different Data & AI approaches. 

  • Experience working with diverse teams to deliver complex solutions. 

  • Familiarity with Generative AI models and frameworks e.g. OpenAI family, open source LLMs, etc. 

  • Experience fine-tuning Generative AI models. 

  • You have experience with lean/agile software development.
