Work you’ll do:

We're seeking a talented Software Testing and Automation Engineer to join our dynamic GCP team. You'll play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and executing automated test suites for our GCP-based applications and services.

  • Design and develop comprehensive test plans and strategies for GCP applications, leveraging your knowledge of Vertex AI and Vertex Gen AI.
  • Create and maintain automated test scripts using Python or SQL to thoroughly test product functionalities.
  • Utilize Python to write unit tests for custom code deployed on GCP.
  • Integrate testing processes with CI/CD pipelines for seamless and continuous testing.
  • Leverage expertise in Kafka and Kubernetes to test applications utilizing these technologies on GCP.
  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand application requirements and translate them into actionable test cases.
  • Analyze test results, identify software defects, and work with developers to resolve issues.
  • Stay up to date on the latest GCP testing tools, best practices, and security considerations.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and identify opportunities for automation.
  • Document testing procedures and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in software testing and automation.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, particularly Agile and DevOps.
  • In-depth knowledge of Python and SQL for test scripting.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Familiarity with Vertex AI and Vertex Gen AI a strong plus.
  • Experience with Kafka and Kubernetes in a testing context is a plus.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • A passion for quality and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving software defects.
