Job Description

Authenticx is seeking a highly skilled Azure Cloud Engineer to join our innovative and dynamic cloud infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying, managing, and operating scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on Azure. They will also support software release processes, facilitate hotfix releases, and ensure robust BCDR strategies are in place. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Implement and manage continuous delivery systems and methodologies on Azure. 
  • Deploy SFTP servers from ARM templates and manage SQL database operations. 
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts (Bash) to streamline cloud operations. 
  • Administer and oversee software release and hotfix processes utilizing advanced GitHub operations. 
  • Execute the automation of tenant resource deployment using BICEP and Bash, including database configuration and seeding. 
  • Monitor and manage Azure resources using Azure Dashboard, Log Analytics, and Azure Resource Graph. 
  • Conduct BCDR simulations and maintain comprehensive knowledge of DNS, Azure Front Door, app servers, databases, managed identities, certificates, and CI/CD pipelines. 
  • Develop and maintain an Azure alerting system with ARM templates and Bash scripts. 
  • Review and analyze code, simulate failure scenarios, and provide feedback for continuous improvement. 
  • Engage in continuous learning and apply new knowledge to real-world projects. 

Best Practices Expectations: 

  • Adherence to cloud security standards and best practices to ensure secure and compliant cloud operations. 
  • Implementation of proactive monitoring strategies to detect and mitigate issues before they affect the system. 
  • Documentation of all deployments and configurations to maintain clear records and facilitate knowledge transfer. 
  • Regularly review and optimize cloud resources to ensure cost-efficiency and performance. 

Qualifications

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields. 
  • Azure certifications, such as the Azure Administrator Associate or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert are highly desirable. 
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud computing, specifically in Azure environments. 

Required Skills: 

  • Proficient in Azure services, including the use of ARM templates, Azure Resource Graph, and Log Analytics Workspace. 
  • Strong experience with Bash scripting and automation tools. 
  • Familiarity with SQL and database management. 
  • Experience with source control management using GitHub and understanding of PR processes. 
  • Knowledge of BCDR strategies and their implementation in cloud environments. 
  • Ability to create and manage Azure Dashboards for resource monitoring. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

Additional Information

  • For local candidates, this may be a hybrid position consisting of mostly remote/virtual working with some on-site (Indianapolis north side) activities approximately 1x per week or as needed.
  • For non-local candidates, this will be a virtual/remote position with the potential for occasional travel to our Indianapolis office approximately 1-2x per year depending on location and the needs of the business. 
  • Candidates must reside in the USA and be authorized to legally work in the USA without requiring employment visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
