Consultant/Associate Consultant – ITAS- Analytics (Data Science/Data Engineering)

The opportunity

EY is to seeking a candidate for Analytics (Data Science/Data Engineering) in ITAS.
 
Your key responsibilities

    Data Ingestion (Big Data activities) – Analyze data from new sources, prepare extraction codes, map target files/ tables are required in the architecture and data platforms. 
    Data Migration (Big Data activities) - Analyze data in existing data warehouse, understand target data model, develop scripts to move data from the existing data warehouse into the data lake 
    Data Analysis (Data Science activities) – Understand client requirements and develop models for various analytics use cases. Test the model developed to assess if they work in accordance to the approved specifications. Assist with deployment of the developed models.
    Data Reporting (Data Visualization activities) - Aggregate the data as required in the data lake and develop reports/dashboards for the various analytics use cases
    Support business development and new analytics solution development activities

Skills and attributes for success

    Experience in Data Engineering and Data Science at a financial services company or similar experience is preferred.
    Displays strong Project Management skills in managing his or her own projects to complete by assigned deadlines and within budget
    Strong communication skills as the profile requires interactions with CIO, CEO, CFO and other senior leadership

Tools and techniques:
 
    Hands-on experience in one or more Statistical tools – Python, SAS and R (preferable)
    Data mining and manipulation experience 
    Preferable Mainframe experience to extract data

Soft Skills:

    Excellent written and oral communication skills
    Displays interpersonal, and leadership ability across all levels coupled with effective problem solving, conceptual thinking, quantitative and analytical skills.


To qualify for the role you must have

•    BE with MBA from Tier-1 B-school with 1 to 6 years’ experience.
•    Experience working on Big Data platforms (Hadoop, Mongo Db etc.)
•    Must have data visualization experience (preferably Tableau, QlikView or Power BI)


Ideally you’ll also have

•    Strong communication, facilitation, relationship-building, presentation and negotiation skills.
•    Be highly flexible, adaptable, and creative.
•    Comfortable interacting with senior executives (within the firm and at the client)
•    Strong leadership skills and supervisory responsibility.
