Description


As a vital member of our team, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing robust dialog management systems. Your primary responsibility will be to enable the voice assistant to engage in fluid conversations with users. Staying abreast of the latest developments in conversational AI and Natural Language Processing (NLP) is crucial, as you'll be tasked with designing, implementing, and evaluating innovative algorithms. We anticipate that you will take the lead in driving development efforts, demonstrating your expertise in a highly multi-functional environment. Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills are essential, as collaboration with partner teams is integral to delivering a seamless end-user experience! The features you develop will be deployed on Apple platforms and devices, necessitating compliance with Apple's stringent quality and privacy standards. Additionally, your work will align with the software release cycle.

Minimum Qualifications


  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in developing and deploying machine learning models, emphasizing Natural Language Processing (NLP) and voice-based conversational systems.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python is a must, along with familiarity with relevant ML libraries/frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch. Bonus points for experience with Swift, Obj-C, and on-device development.
  • Deep Learning Expertise: A robust background in deep learning techniques for NLP and Large Language Models (LLM).


Preferred Qualifications


  • Research Mindset: An ability to keep abreast of the latest advancements in AI/ML/NLP, coupled with a keen curiosity about applying ground breaking research to real-world applications.
  • Collaboration: Proven experience working in multi-functional teams, collaborating seamlessly with software engineers, UX/UI designers, and product managers.
  • Problem Solving: Demonstrated excellent problem-solving skills, showcasing an ability to tackle complex challenges innovatively.


Pay & Benefits


  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
