Who We Are

You will be part of a team to develop and optimize software features to increase battery life and performance (PnP) for cutting-edge AI applications on the next generation AI PC platforms.

Candidates who have power and performance experience in Windows OS, AI applications/benchmarks, SoC architecture, AI acceleration and who are open to explore System as a whole and with product focus are welcome.
The candidate should be able to conduct system level testing, carry out thorough power and performance measurements for various KPIs, analyze gaps in software and hardware, identify optimizations and implement them successfully.

Who You Are

  • You will be required to apply your expertise in both software and hardware.

  • This job role will require close collaboration with internal CPU and platform architects and design engineers, as well as operating system vendors and customers.

  • You will be required to understand partner and customer software stacks and engage as a trusted technical advisor to discover opportunities to showcase value of Intel technology and platforms aligned with mutual roadmap.

  • You will have the opportunity to develop your in-depth technical understanding of PC hardware and software to further optimize PnP.

  • This role works with our architects to define PnP workloads, metrics, measurement methodology and platform projections and works across organizational boundaries to articulate solutions to senior management and to external parties.

  • As a Senior engineer, you are expected to articulate a vision and strategy for power and performance in her/his domain, lead cross-functional teams, manage our key stakeholder relationships, as well as mentor junior engineers.

In addition to the qualifications listed below the ideal candidate will also have: 

  • Strong technical and analytical problem-solving skills.

  • Is willing to work independently to set clear expectations, measure results, and prioritize tasks to meet engineering and business goals of the program.

  • Clear verbal, written communication and presentation skills with the ability to present complex issues with clarity to drive decisions.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other science/engineering related field.

  • 3+ years of experience with software/programming languages (i.e. C, C++, C#, Visual Basic/.NET. Perl, Python, Java, etc.) and high-quality software debug skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence fundamentals, software development, and quality metrics.

  • Knowledge of microprocessor architecture, OS internals and data structure.

  • Familiarity with OS and Hardware power management, SoC power states.

  • Experience with performance analysis on Windows using ETW.
