About the Internship:
Our Xeon Products and Solutions (XPS) Software Center of Excellence team is looking for AI Software Engineer Summer Intern to work with our largest hyperscale cloud service provider customers. As an AI Software Engineer Summer Intern, you will play a pivotal role in developing our benchmarks automation to help AI team members analyze the customers AI workloads and optimize their frameworks, inference engines, primitive libraries, and/or graph compilers to improve their workloads performance.

To be successful in this role it is essential that you have experience with automation software (preferred Ansible), and we also expect experience in scripting languages such as bash and python. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following skills in addition to the qualifications listed above. Identify and resolve problems, Ability to learn quickly, Ability to work effectively in a team, Excellent verbal, and written communication skills.

XPS is part of the global Data Center and AI organization that develops the products and technologies that power 9 of every 10 servers sold worldwide. This includes high-end co-processors for supercomputers, low-energy systems for enterprise and the cloud, and solutions for big data and intelligent devices.


Summer internship lasts 3 months: 1.07.24-30.09.24 and you'll be with us part-time - 35h/week. Candidates must be based in Poland upon the start date of this internship and for its duration. There might be a first month of integration in Gdansk. We will provide you with all the necessary equipment and a place to stay at the student dormitory at Technical University of Gdansk.


During the internship, you will have invaluable experience working with some of the brightest AI System's minds, both in the industry and within Intel. You will have the opportunity to work across the entire AI software stack from ISA to primitive optimizations, to graph-level optimizations, and to the AI cloud services. Qualifications:

We welcome applications from candidates with:

  • knowledge about automation software (preferred Ansible),
  • experience in scripting languages such as bash and python,
  • knowledge of Linux systems


It would be an advantage if you had interest/knowledge and would like to develop your skills in:

  • Artifical Inteigence: ML/DL and Large Language Models
  • ML/DL frameworks like PyTorch and Tensorflow
  • Cloud architecture and cloud services
  • Computer architecture knowledge
  • Automation of running and deploying software

Work Model for this Role

This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
