Nokia Standards

Nokia Standards drives technology leadership by developing and bringing innovative concepts to industry and standards organizations. It also works within the ecosystems to ensure an inventor friendly industry environment favorable to Nokia’s business success. This team drives Nokia’s intellectual property rights portfolio and standards leadership.

You will be an integral part of a high-performance global team committed to driving continuous improvement and world-class innovation in radio and multimedia research, particularly for Nokia Standards. As our Data Engineer specializing in telecommunications standards and research, you will focus on the processing and information extraction from standardization documents from e.g. 3GPP, ETSI, and O-RAN ALLIANCE, contributing to groundbreaking device research and standardization.

What you will learn and contribute to 

  • Drive the development of innovative methods for processing of standardization documents and deliverables from 3GPP, ETSI, and O-RAN-ALLIANCE
  • Extract and structure information from various document formats, to make the associated information available to our internal stakeholders.
  • Drive the development of innovative methods for processing and standardizing documents.
  • Extract and structure information from various document formats, ensuring alignment with the cutting-edge research and development in telecommunications.
  • Drive the development of innovative methods for processing and standardizing documents from 3GPP, ETSI, O-RAN-ALLIANCE, ITU and IEEE.

Your skills and experience 

 You have:

  • A background with a master’s or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field with min 2-10yrs of experience.
  • Strong background on document processing and information extraction.
  • Strong capability in processing and extracting information from a range of document formats.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL/NoSQL and Python.
  • Expertise in data quality frameworks.

It would be nice if you also have:

  • A good understanding of standardization related documents and documentation practices from different standardization bodies.
