About the role:  

As a Technical Support Specialist at Wisedocs AI, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support and assistance to our internal employees. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving problems related to hardware, software, and network issues. Additionally, you will be involved in setting up and configuring computer systems, installing and upgrading software, and assisting with data backup and recovery. We are looking for someone who has a strong technical background and excellent communication skills, as you will be interacting with employees of various technical abilities. 

The position is a hybrid model with primarily remote work, while requiring on-site presence at least twice a month in Downtown Toronto.

Responsibilities: 

    • Provide technical support and assistance to internal employees, troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues 
    • Set up and configure computer systems for new employees, ensuring all necessary software and applications are installed 
    • Assist with off-boarding and decommissioning of software and hardware  
    • Install, upgrade, and maintain software and applications on employee workstations 
    • Assist with data backup and recovery, ensuring regular backups are performed and data can be easily restored if necessary 
    • Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical problems and implement system upgrades or improvements 
    • Maintain documentation of IT processes, including troubleshooting guides and user instructions 
    • Conduct training sessions for employees on IT tools and applications 
    • Provide the IT Manager support with ongoing projects   

 Qualifications: 

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field 
    • Proven experience working in a similar role, providing IT support and troubleshooting 
    • Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and network troubleshooting techniques (Fortinet Firewall, Switches, Access Points and Fortigate VPN) 
    • Familiarity with operating systems, including Windows, macOS, Linux 
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications, Sharepoint, Intune 
    • Understanding of best practices with ITIL service desk (Freshservice) 
    • Strong understanding of best practices with cybersecurity, EDR, WAF and password management 
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively 
    • A robust problem-solving mindset; comfortable navigating frequently changing work items and scopes, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently
