WHAT TO EXPECT
The Engineering Delivery Platform (EDP) aims to completely transform the way in which JLR operates to deliver our core activity of Product Creation from Idea to End of Life across the JLR enterprise. We have a clear vision to deliver a unified end to end process and toolset with connected, traceable data throughout all functions.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms offer the potential to act as fast surrogates of the traditional CAD-CAE process of geometry preparation, pre-processing and solve. These fast surrogates, which are typically physics-based neural networks, can in turn enable Generative AI for the optimisation of our cars.
We are in a strategic partnership with NVIDIA who are pushing the boundaries and entering the market of AI for CAD-CAE and we are seeking a specialist in this area to lead the co-development of this capability. The successful candidate will join the EDP technical leadership team that provides technical guidance and oversight of the whole EDP programme.
