Where you will have an impact 

As the Technical Business Development Team Lead, you will lead a team dedicated to expanding our influence and capabilities within the autonomous driving industry. Your leadership will be pivotal in driving our strategic business objectives, expansion of our market footprint and the forging of strategic partnerships within the automotive industry.

This role demands a unique blend of technical acumen with exceptional communication, managerial and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively articulating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

You will maintain ongoing communication with all relevant stakeholders, including commercial BD, Product and the program & automotive teams, to ensure there is a clear and unified understanding of product requirements, and priorities.

Challenges you will own

  • Leading and mentoring a team of business development professionals, setting clear goals and fostering a culture of innovation and performance.
  • Navigating complex sales cycles, along our commercial BD team, with major automotive players and technology partners, ensuring alignment between technical specifications and client expectations.
  • Developing tailored pitches and presentations that effectively communicate the technical merits and advantages of our ADAS and autonomous driving solutions.
  • Conducting market analysis to identify emerging trends, potential threats, and opportunities in the autonomous driving landscape.
  • Coordinating with engineering and product teams to relay customer feedback and market demands, influencing the roadmap and feature enhancements of our products.
  • Overcoming technical and regulatory barriers in different regions, adapting strategies to fit diverse markets and compliance standards.

You excel at balancing multiple priorities, focusing on those that offer the most significant impact in terms of customer satisfaction and technological advancement.
  • Experienced in Automotive: Ideally, you bring a background in the automotive industry, equipped with knowledge of automotive standards, customer preferences, and the technical nuances of vehicle automation. 
  • Articulate Communicator: With your strong communication skills, you effectively convey complex ideas and technical details in a clear and persuasive manner.
  • Adaptable and Versatile: You are flexible and adaptable, ready to shift focus as needed to meet changing demands, embrace new challenges, and contribute outside of traditional role boundaries.

Essential 

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in business development, preferably within the automotive or high-tech sectors, with a focus on ADAS or autonomous driving technologies.
  • Strong technical background with a deep understanding of the automotive industry. 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively articulating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and proactively across different teams and disciplines.

Desirable 

  • Strategic thinker with a knack for identifying growth opportunities and the resilience to pursue long-term goals in a competitive landscape.
  • Good understanding of LLMs and recent Generative AI methods and architectures, neural networks, machine learning, and software development practices.
  • Innovativeness and a forward-thinking approach 
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
