The Applied Machine Learning (AML) group is part of the Department for Artificial Intelligence and is looking for a student research assistant to support scientific activities in the context of evaluation and deployment of AI, with a strong focus in full stack web development. In the AML working group, new innovative solutions are being researched and developed that will be used in current and future key topics. What you will do
Develop software infrastructure for the deployment of machine learning models
Analysis and preprocessing of different data types, mostly medical data
Applied science in exciting projects
Preparation of presentations
Review of relevant literature and data
Testing software and frameworks
What you bring to the table
Study of mathematics, computer science, physics, electrical engineering or similar with good to very good grades
Strong programming skills in Python and JavaScript with knowledge of technologies such as Angular, Docker, MySQL, FastAPI
Strong knowledge in the area of DevOps (CI/CD pipelines and server management)
Strong understanding of web technologies and experience developing and deploying web applications
Good experience and confidence in using Linux (Ubuntu) via the terminal
Good knowledge of Git
Autonomy, independence and self-initiative
Excitement about clean and tidy code
Affinity for technologies
Conscientiousness in implementing, testing and documenting algorithms
Curiosity about a deeper understanding of Deep Learning architectures
Interest in the integration of AI to other software infrastructure

The monthly working time is 80 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
