The Sr Product Manager AI/ML Platform is a hands-on Platform product management role, focused on the delivery of high-value AI products in an agile, market driven environment. The Sr. Manager will drive execution of highly visible core Visa AI products from inception to launch. In addition, the Sr. Product Manager will work closely with other members of the Data Platforms org and other key product and technology partners, agile project teams to ensure clarity of vision, requirements and objectives for an AIML platform. 

Global Data Platforms organization is focused on providing differentiated data product and platform offerings which provide tremendous value to our clients by identifying and mitigating financial fraud, providing value added services, leveraging capabilities such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies. Our clients span across issuer financial institutions, acquirers, merchants, payment card program managers and fintech’s. We are looking for individuals with a product management and development background to help us aggressively enhance Visa’s product portfolio by identifying and scoping new offerings, enhancing existing offerings, and deliver truly value-added solutions to the marketplace. This individual will work with experts throughout the company to identify and prioritize development of new and existing products, help execute the launch and/or help drive new product commercialization to target levels of adoption and utilization. Openness and experience working across disciplines is important. This role will be a key contributor to the Global strategic product plan specifically around creating a state-of-the-art AI-ML platform and driving high profile products on the platform by working with cross functional teams such as regional product, sales, consulting, governance, operations, technology, risk, and analytics. This position may require occasional travel to client sites and Visa locations. 

Essential Functions 

  •  Contribute to the overall product strategy, product roadmap, and business plan for Visa Global Data Platforms such as AIML Platform 

  • Partner with technology closely to execute on AIML capabilities and technologies that drive product delivery of high-profile core Visa AI products that form the strategic pillars of Visa. 

  • Partner with clients and internal stakeholders throughout the payment ecosystem to develop product strategy and co-create solutions 

  • Ensure product vision and requirements are designed with scalability and long-term vision in mind 

  • Conceptualize, develop and launch new products & experiences at the intersection of payments and technology in the AI space 

  • Brainstorm with internal and external teams to develop ideas and potential solutions for co-creation 

  • Lead cross-functional team across research, design and development to design, test and pilot products 

  • Work closely with Internal and external product and partner teams to ensure alignment on goals/scope, plan critical path and operational risks, and ensure transparent communication 

  • Synthesize requirements into a common set of platform and services capabilities, writing very clear, thorough and detailed user stories for complex features and product sets 

  • Liaise with other business units, product leaders, engineering and other applicable groups to ensure flawless execution 

  •  Provide status, action plans and recommendations to senior leadership on an ongoing basis 

  • Develop and advocate vision of an outstanding customer experience powered by advanced AI technologies 

  • Advanced proficiency in the use of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, and SharePoint) required. Working knowledge of Agile tools such as CA Central (Rally), Confluence Wiki, Tableau, and JIRA strongly preferred.  

 This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field or commensurate work experience
• 2+ years’ experience in developing and delivering Artificial Intelligence solutions at enterprise or organizational level to solve customer or business problems
• Experience in and/or significant exposure to the payments industry specifically within new
applications, Fraud Risk, Identity Risk, or Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Data Science.
• 5 years of experience in product management, with demonstrated ability to launch and manage new product releases being part of a matrixed organization in a highly technical and evolving AI/ML space.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, verbal and written communication skills to effectively partner, influence and instill confidence with stakeholders across all functional teams
• Strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ideal candidate to have knowledge of machine learning or data processing algorithms for risk and fraud applications
• Flexible and creative thinker with the ability to define business tradeoffs
• Strong quantitative skills with a data first mindset. Ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions
• Experience in financial services and payments desired, but not required
• A proven track record of success in fast-paced environments with demanding timelines is also required
• Experience partnering with technologists using Agile or other expedited design and development methodologies
• Proficiency with software development methodologies such as Agile and experience working with Scrum teams
• Strong problem solver, with exposure to and knowledge of industry standard AI and ML
technologies with expertise to drive technology related and architecture discussions
• Work with limited direction, usually within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to develop rigorous, fact-based recommendations to senior product management while supporting syndication with stakeholders across the organization
• Ability to thrive in a cross functional setting and communicate effectively with different teams at Visa
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Payment Industry background, mentoring junior product managers and people management experience a plus.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 147,700.00 to 214,150.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
