We are seeking a dynamic and confident Sr. HR Business Partner, Learning and Experience to join our team. This individual will be at the forefront of fostering a positive, inclusive, and vibrant company culture. As a key member of our Human Resources team, you will be a HR Business Partner to assigned specific lines of business with an emphasis on leading Learning and Development (L&D) efforts, implementing comprehensive training programs, and supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) initiatives. You will ensure our company culture is both fun and unique, driving employee engagement and satisfaction. This position will be located in New York City with a hybrid work schedule of 3 days in office (Mon/Tue/Wed) and 2 days remote (Thursday/Friday).

Responsibilities


  • Learning and Development:
  • Develop comprehensive learning strategies and curriculums for developing leaders, managers, and team members
  • Create and analyze metrics to assess the effectiveness of learning initiatives, adjusting programs as needed
  • Collaborate with leaders and teams to identify ongoing learning opportunities, then strategize and build solutions to address learning needs
  • Lead the development and facilitation of manager training programs on various topics to enhance leadership skills and management effectiveness
  • Implement and maintain Learning and Development programming, continually  evaluating  the effectiveness of training initiatives
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in L&D and incorporate them into Cognitiv’s training programs
  • Lead the career development structure at Cognitiv by managing exisiting and building future career ladders for the organization

  • Lead DE&I Initiatives:
  • Chair the DE&I committee, driving initiatives and policies that promote an inclusive workplace
  • Partner with the HR team to host and celebrate DE&I events, such as heritage months and diversity celebrations
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to implement DE&I strategies that attract diverse talent
  • Scale Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility, and Belonging programs realistic for an organization under 200 employees
  • Conduct regular DE&I audits and surveys to measure the effectiveness of initiatives and identify areas for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant DE&I regulations and laws

  • Team Building and Culture Development:
  • Plan and execute external team bonding events for multiple offices, ensuring a cohesive and unified company culture
  • Assist the CEO and Office Managers in planning and executing live All-Hands meetings twice a year, including organizing fun and engaging activities for the entire company
  • Develop and manage creative and competitive monthly games and competitions for our Cognitiv houses (teams), fostering a spirit of camaraderie and healthy competition among remote and on-site employees
  • Ensure a positive, fun, and unique company culture that aligns with Cognitiv’s values and mission
  • Continuously seek and implement innovative ways to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work culture through effective communication and initiatives
  • Lead initiatives to promote employee well-being and work-life balance
  • Act as a point of contact for employee feedback on company culture and engagement initiatives

  • HR Business Partner:
  • Collaborate with business leaders to align HR strategies with organizational goals and objectives
  • Provide strategic and tactical HR support, including employee relations, performance management, and talent development
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to support hiring managers
  • Partner with the HR team on developing department goals
  • Assist VP, HR on various areas such as compensation benchmarking and policy development
  • Lead or support initiatives to enhance employee well-being and mental health.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in facilitating training sessions and building out training curriculums
  • Proven experience in leading DE&I initiatives and creating inclusive workplace cultures
  • Experience scaling Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility, and Belonging programs for an organization under 200 employees
  • Experience working in a rapidly growing start-up environment
  • Strong event planning and project management skills
  • Creative mindset with experience in developing engaging team activities and competitions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated experience in change management and organizational development

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in HR or related fields (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)
  • Familiarity or experience within the AdTech Industry
  • Experience with LinkedIn Learning
  • General knowledge of AI products 

Salary

  • $125,000 - $140,000 Base Salary + Equity
Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to job-related knowledge, level of relevant experience, education and skills.
