About the role
Character.AI seeks a trailblazing social media manager to spearhead and own our entire social media strategy across TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and other key platforms. Your mission: ignite awareness, drive growth, and foster engagement for Character.AI's innovative solutions.
You'll wield your creative genius to craft compelling content, curate editorial calendars, and launch groundbreaking campaigns that transcend our core audience. Additionally, you'll collaborate with a curated roster of creators to produce top-tier content that showcases Character.AI's unique features and advantages.
This role is based onsite 3-5 days a week in our Menlo Park, CA headquarters.
Responsibilities
Craft and execute a strategic social media plan establishing a commanding presence on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and other key platforms.
Drive an increase in brand awareness, achieve growth in follower count, and elevate engagement and sentiment across all platforms.
Develop and implement a robust system for analyzing and measuring the impact of social media efforts.
Collaborate with external agencies, vendors, and creators to produce dynamic and innovative social media content.
Produce compelling video content that educates consumers about the versatility of Character.AI and its distinctive features.
Moderate all content, promptly addressing significant inquiries or concerns with our Trust and Safety teams.
Manage paid social media campaigns centered on key product updates, aligning social efforts with product growth objectives.
Proactively identify influential creators and assist them in generating high-quality content that showcases their use of Character.AI.
Monitor trends on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and other platforms, continually testing, learning, and optimizing strategies to seamlessly integrate Character.AI into relevant, on-brand trends.
Take ownership of the social media editorial calendar, overseeing copy, content, design, and performance metrics to drive our marketing and communications goals.
Partner closely with product teams to ensure effective amplification of key product launches and features across social media channels.
Job Requirements
Minimum 5 years of digital marketing experience for consumer facing brands encompassing both organic and paid media campaigns.
Proven track record of successfully growing and engaging audiences on TikTok and various social media platforms.
Demonstrated expertise in creating captivating social media content and managing editorial calendars with diverse content categories aligned with different value propositions.
Deep passion for pop culture and a knack for identifying trends that resonate with Gen Z audiences.
Strong storytelling prowess to effectively communicate and connect with target audiences, with a keen understanding of brand storytelling and design principles.
Prior experience thriving in a startup or similarly dynamic environment.
Flexible, resourceful, and adept at working independently while maintaining open lines of communication.
Hands-on mentality with the ability to achieve significant results even with limited resources.
