Product Designer Job Description

AudioStack is looking for a Product Designer based in London, who wants to apply their excellent product design skills and experience to take their career to the next level.

This is an exciting and strategic role within AudioStack with enormous growth potential. Your goal is work as part of an established development team to improve our customers' lives. You'll have a say over our design processes, along with the trust and autonomy to make design decisions. Working alongside an experienced Product Owner with an existing customer base, this is a great opportunity to make an impact in a role where we deliver quickly, iteratively and collaboratively.

There is much to gain in this role: we're playing in a fast-growing market with a competitive compensation package including Bonus & Stock Options.

About AudioStack 🦜

AudioStack is the world’s most powerful AI audio production infrastructure. If you are passionate about the Voice & Audio markets (think Podcasts, Spotify, Siri, Alexa, Music) and Artificial Intelligence - this is the job for you!

We are an Audio-As-A-Service, API-first Infrastructure company with the aim of democratising the way audio is produced globally. We use Artificial Intelligence and proprietary Audio Automation & Personalisation Technology to generate voices & audio at scale.

Join an ambitious company with strong international tech, voice synthesis R&D and business team made out of various nationalities.

What you'll be doing:

  • Drive development of the AudioStack platform by leading design-thinking, UX and UI in conjunction with the product owner and development team.
  • Own the user journey for AudioStack platform and workflow users.
  • Distill complex problems into simple, user-centred solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including working with other designers) to solve user and business needs and to understand how our solutions perform relative to our competitors.
  • Design solutions for quick, high-quality shipping. We ship fast!
  • Close collaboration with engineering - no throwing designs over the fence.
  • Creation of flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals using Figma.
  • Rapid testing and gathering of customer feedback and analytics to drive decision making.
  • Solicit feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Involvement in hiring, mentoring, and establishing and driving forward a design culture.

Requirements

  • You are confident setting up and advocating for design process across the organisation: you're an ambitious leader who can drive forward design across teams.
  • Proven track record in product design with a focus on B2B enterprise solutions - we're looking for at least 5 years of experience.
  • Experience working on software that integrates seamlessly within enterprise customers’ existing tooling and workflows
  • Outstanding portfolio in user interaction, and visual design.
  • Solid understanding of crafting scalable, accessible designs.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills: you see (healthy) conflict as essential for high performance and don't shy away from making and communicating tough decisions when needed. You're able to bring others along with you and help them understand the "why" behind design choices.
  • Experience in rapid-growth environments and collaborating with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in prototyping using Figma
  • Opinionated about the design process - you care about how we get things done. You value shipping incrementally, quickly, collaboratively, and on maximising the value delivered to users.
  • Understanding of design and delivery approaches such as continuous discovery habits, lean UX, design sprints and scrum.
  • Understanding of the capabilities and design limitations of modern web technologies and APIs.
  • Basic Javascript skills - many of our end users are software developers, so basically coding skills would help with building user empathy (desirable)

Benefits

  • 🎛 The opportunity to work in a leading voice & audio AI company, with an exceptional tech team with diverse and highly recognised backgrounds.
  • 🎹 Be part of a great story: we are making audio scalable for the first time in history.
  • 📔 Great Learning & Development opportunities, such as our biweekly journal club - state-of-the-art papers or Friday wins, a proactive meeting to celebrate shipping of new software each week.
  • ⏱ Hybrid working and Flexible working hours (based at the London office 3 days per week).
  • 💰 Stock Options (subject to performance and time served).
  • 🛠 The opportunity to shape an engineering culture in a company in the fast-growing audio/video space.
