Argonne’s Leadership Computing Facility (ALCF) is deploying one of the largest computing resources in the world, the Aurora exascale supercomputer. Working with scientists from all domains and industry experts, we are preparing scientific applications and AI frameworks to take advantage of this new resource for scientific discovery. Aurora will enable training of the first generation of Large Language Models for scientific applications. ALCF is also a leader in training the next generation of scientists to utilize supercomputers to further their research.
The facility is looking for a Postdoctoral appointee to engage with multiple projects working on performance portability, AI, and large scale simulation. As a Postdoc in ALCF, you will be working with scientists from multiple domains and enabling their research goals on Aurora through collaboration and innovation.
There are opportunities to engage with research in AI (LLMs, foundation models, etc), performance optimization, portable programming, differentiable programming, and much more. Our Postdocs are also important contributors to our training program that ensures our users excel.
