Portfolio Officer, PO

MAX is experiencing unprecedented organizational growth and is seeking a Portfolio officer in the Portfolio Risk unit who will oversee and manage our portfolio ensuring the achievement of financial goals and adherence to company risk policies and regulations. This role involves assessing financial performance, conducting risk assessments, and maintaining strong customer relationships. The role will report to the Manager, PRM unit.

  • Monitor and manage assigned customer portfolios to ensure optimal performance and alignment with company strategies.
  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews and rebalancing to meet customer’s' changing financial goals and market conditions.
  • Collaborate with Data, Collections, Call center, Retrieval and Growth teams on a daily basis
  • Utilize data sets to perform analytics and propose solutions
  • Prepare and present detailed portfolio performance reports to managers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing personalized service and addressing their financial needs and concerns.
  • Respond to customers inquiries and requests promptly and accurately.
  • Educate customers on their financial obligations to enhance their understanding and confidence.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments for our portfolios, identifying potential risks and recommending appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless portfolio management and customer service.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation for customer’s credit related escalations.
  • Assist in the onboarding sessions for new customers to handle portfolio related sessions.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of portfolio management processes and tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3 years experience in credit and portfolio risk management at a bank, lending, or fin-Tech institution
  • Relevant professional certification AAT, ACA, CIMA
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to source data/ perform periodic computations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to effectively interact with and influence people at all levels
  • High sense of responsibility, accountability and dependability
  • High integrity and ethical standards
