Role 

Our first People Business Partner (HRBP) will serve as a strategic partner to our Engineering, Product, and Design teams, providing comprehensive HR support and guidance. The HRBP will collaborate closely with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives, drive employee engagement, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. You’ll report directly to our Head of People, partnering closely on building our HRBP foundation for scale. 

Responsibilities

  • Strategic HR Partnership

    • Act as a trusted advisor to tech leaders, understanding their business needs and translating them into effective HR strategies.

    • Provide insights and recommendations on organizational design, talent management, and workforce planning.

  • Talent Acquisition and Management

    • Collaborate with the talent team to attract and hire top tech talent.

    • Develop and implement onboarding programs to ensure a seamless integration of new hires.

    • Drive talent management initiatives, including performance management, succession planning, and career development.

  • Employee Relations and Engagement

    • Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns and resolving conflicts.

    • Conduct regular check-ins with employees to gauge engagement and identify areas for improvement.

    • Implement initiatives to enhance employee morale and retention.

  • Learning and Development

    • Identify training needs and work with the learning and development team to design and deliver relevant programs.

    • Support leadership development initiatives to build a strong pipeline of future leaders.

  • Compensation and Benefits

    • Provide guidance on compensation strategies, ensuring internal equity and external competitiveness.

    • Work with the compensation and benefits team to design and implement competitive packages.

  • HR Metrics and Analytics

    • Utilize HR analytics to drive data-informed decision-making.

    • Monitor key HR metrics and provide regular reports to leadership.

  • Change Management

    • Lead and support change management initiatives to ensure smooth transitions during organizational changes.

    • Communicate effectively with employees about changes and provide support as needed.

  • Compliance and HR Policies

    • Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations.

    • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with company values and best practices.

Qualifications 

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner, preferably in the technology industry supporting EPD teams.

  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.

  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Experience in program/project management, with a proven track record in managing complex, cross-functional projects.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strategic mindset and the ability to manage both detailed tasks and big-picture strategies.

  • Customer-centric approach with a passion for delivering a best in class employee experience.

  • Experience working internationally is a plus

Compensation 

In consideration of market analysis and relevant factors, the salary range for this position is set between $180,000 and $220,000. However, adjustments outside of this range may be considered for candidates whose qualifications significantly differ from those outlined in the job description.

Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in our equity plan and benefits program. Benefits include, but not limited to: Comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage, retirement benefits (401k match up to 4%), and flexible PTO.
