The Manager, Data & AI Risk is liable for assisting in the development of new dashboards and reports for the Data and AI Risk team. This role requires a high degree of flexibility, an appreciation of the challenges surrounding data risk, an understanding of technology, and the ability to socialize and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
This role is primarily technical in nature and will require the effective use of a variety of tools in delivering analytics solutions. The current technology environment consists of Excel, R, and Power BI. It also requires the careful application of data visualization techniques to create effective final products for end-users, and an understanding of DAX functions and Power Queries.
It is expected that the technical environment will change over time so this role will also involve transitioning the toolset to whatever is aligned with the Bank’s overall technology strategy. This could involve Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Job Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain data and reporting processes
Build ETL processes using R or other tools
Build reporting and analysis applications using Power BI
Assist in the execution of the periodical and ad-hoc reporting to the Board and risk committees, including collection of metrics and creation of dashboards and reports
Work with end-users to develop an understanding of the potential uses and benefits of an analytical approach to managing risk
Create storytelling with data when building dashboards, reports, and custom analyses in the service of risk management
Explore the use of advanced analytics approaches and apply them as necessary
Ready to use Google Cloud Databases to create and manage databases for reporting and analysis
Champions a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
Job Requirements:
A strong quantitative background (based on either experience or education) is a must
Post-Secondary education completed
3+ years experience in analytics and/or reporting with Power BI or Tableau
Strong Microsoft Suite experience (Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with the use of relational database systems and general programming
Curious and proactive learner able to solve complex problems, multi-task and manage changing priorities
Experience as a Project Manager or Business Analyst an asset
Fluency in Spanish is an asset
