SGS is looking for an experienced and innovative IT System Administrator to join our team who can help drive SGS Corporate IT Initiatives. As the IT System Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining the technology wellness and integrity of the company. You will assist with all internal systems functions and to ensure systems and technology are available to the company and its employees. As the IT System Administrator, you are responsible for maintaining and supporting the technology solutions of the organization and its users. This is a complex position that includes many high-level tasks related to IT, security, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are solved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.

  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization.
  • Provide documentation and technical specifications for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.
  • Resolve a wide array of technical support requests and troubleshoot relevant performance issues.
  • Configure and handle user account provisioning and permissions for various software vendors.
  • Assist in developing process automation procedures for system deployment (both cloud and physical assets)
  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand needs, define requirements, define options, and prioritize solution delivery activities to meet business objectives.
  • Partners with DevOps Engineering and Software Engineering leads to design and develop technology solutions.
  • Assign and coordinate tasks and deliverables to internal team members, partners and vendors, and third-party solutions providers needed to define and deliver new business solutions or changes to existing solutions.
  • Maintain a high performing, scalable, fault-tolerant, secure, and compliant infrastructure.
  • Manage disaster recovery solutions.
  • With limited direction, work on complex projects and often multiple phases of a project or multiple concurrent projects.
  • Assists with facilitating IT security audits (internal/external) and investigations in line with company compliance requirements.
  • Adherence to all department and company policies and processes including company core values and business ethics.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship Required
  • Experience supporting and problem-solving various Cloud infrastructures (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Experience with network design, cloud architecture and general business technology items.
  • Experience with systems and data security.
  • Experience with various compliance and regulations (CMMC, FedRAMP, SOC, ISO, HIPAA, PCI, etc.)
  • Technical & business requirement analysis and strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong project management skills with good documentation discipline.
  • Ability to travel if needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of experience supporting a wide array of technologies.
  • Proven experience supporting infrastructure, hardware, network, SaaS/IaaS/PaaS cloud solutions and related infrastructure operations.
  • Ability to work long hours and provide emergency phone and/or on-site support during non-standard hours as needed.
  • Must be a facilitator, knowledge seeker, and have excellent communication skills.
  • Secret security clearance or ability to obtain a security clearance.
