Role Summary - We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Manager to join as our first IT employee. The IT Manager will be responsible for managing all internal and external IT systems and services, ensuring they meet the needs of the business and are delivered within agreed service levels.- The role reports into our Head of Engineering - The role is Paris based
Key Responsibilities - System Administration: Manage and maintain optimal and secure operations of computer systems and networks, including troubleshooting and updates.- Network Administration: Oversee the network infrastructure, ensuring security, monitoring performance, and handling connectivity issues.- Workstation Management and Deployment: Define policies and work with vendors to ensure employee workstations are configured for optimal security and ease-of-use.- IT Project Management: Lead IT projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet deadlines, budgets, and objectives.- Data Access and Classification: Enforce a need-to-know access policy, classifying data to restrict unauthorized access effectively.- Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and support, solving a range of hardware and software issues for users.- Procurement of IT solutions: hardware (MDM & provisioning) and software- Manage licenses (eg. Google Workspace administration)- Be involved in the management of IAM in Azure / GCP / AWS / Github- Budget : Managing the IT budget and ensuring cost-effectiveness in all IT-related activities- Overseeing the installation, maintenance, and upgrading of all hardware, software, and network systems, including WiFi hotspot configuration and administration, printers, video conferencing tools- Working with the IT security team (in creation) to ensure the security of all data and systems, and implementing disaster recovery procedures- Liaising with other departments to identify and meet their IT needs- Keeping up-to-date with the latest technological developments and assessing their potential impact on the business
Qualifications & profile - 5-8 years of professional work experience - Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.- Proven experience in a similar role, with a very strong preference for previous startup or fast-paced/demanding environments.- Strong understanding of current IT technologies and how they can be applied to meet business needs.- Excellent leadership and team management skills- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
