Position OverviewReporting directly to the General Manager, the Head of Audit will be responsible for establishing and leading the internal audit function at Tabby. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness of our governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC) frameworks, particularly as we prepare for our IPO. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of the Gulf region's first fintech unicorn and leader in innovation in financial services!
Key Responsibilities

Internal Audit Leadership: Develop and implement a risk-based internal audit plan to assess the effectiveness of Tabby's internal controls, processes, and systems. Lead a team of auditors in conducting audits across all areas of the business, including finance, operations, technology, and compliance.

Collaboration with Risk and Compliance Functions: Work closely with the risk management and compliance teams to align audit activities with overall risk management objectives and ensure consistency in assessing and mitigating risks across the organization. Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives and provide support as needed to enhance the effectiveness of risk and compliance programs.

Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Stay abreast of SAMA and regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to Tabby's operations, particularly in the financial services sector. Ensure that Tabby remains compliant with applicable laws, regulations, and best practices.

IPO Readiness: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare Tabby for its IPO. Assess and enhance internal controls and processes to meet the requirements of public company governance and reporting standards. Coordinate with external auditors and advisors as necessary.

Governance and Risk Management: Establish and maintain robust governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks to identify, assess, mitigate, and monitor risks across the organization. Provide recommendations for risk mitigation and process improvements.

Audit Reporting and Communication: Prepare and present audit findings, recommendations, and reports to senior management and the Board of Directors. Communicate audit results and recommendations effectively, fostering constructive dialogue and driving accountability for action.

Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the organization, promoting awareness of internal controls and compliance requirements. Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and value within the audit function and across the business.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA) preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, risk management, or compliance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of auditing principles, practices, and methodologies, with experience in financial services or fintech industries preferred.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing audit programs, assessing internal controls, and driving process improvements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to evaluate complex issues and make sound decisions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Fluent in English and Arabic
