Requirements

The global payroll lead has overall responsibility for global payroll teams, and also for the strategy of the payroll department as a whole. They will lead the team, focus on strategic initiatives for process improvement, and oversee payroll execution, related policies and compliance.

    • Skills and experience needed
      • Experience of managing a global payroll team
      • Must have complex and multiple payroll experience
      • Strong leadership skills
      • System Implementation experience
      • Ability to nurture relationships with key global stakeholders
    • Duties and responsibilities
      • Take full responsibility for the global payroll function and oversee a team
      • Increase the payroll service provided to clients – this will be achieved by taking responsibility for a number of different teams across different sites and ensure that individuals are motivated and challenged
      • Manage a team of experienced payroll administrators and payroll juniors
      • Keep up to date with and ensure that payroll regulations and tax laws are followed
      • Liaise with company partners, external clients and third parties; develop the operational procedures for the payroll function, recruiting additional members of the team a and visit clients where necessary
      • Ensure that all locks regulatory submissions are made, payroll reconciliations carried out and all legislative timescales are adhered to
      • Mentor and train the less experienced team members
      • Leading on all payroll related projects
