[What you will be working on]
You will be part of a team responsible in managing various types of high quality 2D and 3D mapping data (e.g. aerial imagery, point clouds, 3D digital city models, etc.) from the National 3D Mapping Programme. You will be responsible for the delivery of AI/ML solutions from conception to deployment. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, a deep understanding of AI/ML technologies, an understanding of geospatial data and their practical applications, and product management skills. Your primary role will contribute towards (a) improved data processing through AI/ML on large scale mapping datasets to propel the development of innovative AI solutions on geospatial data (b) GeoAI roadmap (c) leading initiatives to uplift internal AI capabilities, including engaging with sectoral, industry and academic partners.
[What we are looking for]
Background in Land Surveying, Geomatics Engineering, Remote Sensing, Geospatial, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Vision, Information Technology, or a related field conferred by a recognised university.
2-4 years relevant working experience in data science and AI-related domains.
Strong passion in the latest developments in AI technologies, methodologies, and governance best practices.
Strong knowledge in machine learning, deep learning and Natural Language Processing techniques.
Experience working with Large Language Models and computer vision will be an advantage.
Knowledge in 3D geospatial data and proficiency in programming languages such as Python and data visualisation tools will be an advantage.
Good analytical, interpersonal, communications and facilitation skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
