C3 AI is looking for a General Manager, Federal Systems who will be responsible for leading and managing a team of enterprise sellers, driving sales and growth for C3 AI across the Federal arena.
The General Manager will be responsible for defining the sales and growth strategy to increase revenue for the federal organization, while successfully managing at both the strategic and operational level.
Responsibilities:
- As a key member of the executive management team, this executive will define and execute the business plan to ensure achievement of C3 AI’s Federal Sales goals. The GM will create and maintain a clear vision for the Federal Sales team while bringing accountability, energy, results-orientation, and a growth mentality to the organization.
- Develop and maintain all policies and strategies for direct sales, business development, and channel sales to ensure that the Federal Sales team attains its growth and profitability targets.
- Manage a team of 15+ enterprise sellers, while participating and adding tremendous value in customer meetings.
- Engage and consult with Federal agencies to help them understand, structure, and implement their digital transformation strategies.
- Create a consultative solution selling capability to engage with customers at the executive level and lead solutioning workshops demonstrating to customers a deep understanding of their most complex business problems and defining intelligent AI solutions to solve these problems.
- Play a hands-on role within the sales organization, while maintaining a presence and high visibility in the field, and directly participating in customer sales cycles at key accounts. Applying the highest-leverage activities to identify opportunities, negotiate contracts and close major deals with support from corporate counsel and other key executive staff.
- Collaborate with sales, products, and marketing teams to develop new product offering within existing and new lines of business.
- Forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly sales revenue streams accurately. Ensure that the Federal enterprise sales team is successful in all facets of their job responsibilities: software revenue, relationship building, pipeline building, and forecast accuracy to achieve sales goals.
- Represent C3 AI by driving business development with company alliance partners.
- Implement processes, systems, and best practices to streamline operations and increase customer acquisition while driving revenue growth and scaling the sales team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 15+ years documented success in enterprise software sales or business technology products and services.
- Demonstrated success as Head of Sales in a rapid growth (40%+ YoY) disciplined environment, increasing revenues from $xxM to $xxxM+ over 5 years or led growth of this magnitude in this range.
- Solid track record of building and coaching a highly effective sale team.
- Experience with and understanding of AI and Machine Learning is highly favorable.
- Experience with data management and analysis.
- Experience creating data-driven programs to drive company strategy.
- Exemplary written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
